Day - 1
Arrive at the Windhoek International Airport, collect your rental vehicle and continue to Okonjima via Windhoek and Okahandja.
For complete privacy the chalets at Okonjima Bush Camp are situated a minimum of 80 meters apart. The chalets are a combination of earthy ochre walls, and khaki green canvas, under a thatched roof. With half the chalet made from canvas the entire front of the chalet can be rolled up at night allowing the cool breeze and sounds of the Namibian bush into the bungalow. The less adventurous can securely close the sides and sleep safely in the knowledge that the outside world is where it belongs….. outside!
As with the main camp, big cats remain are the main attraction. Namibia has over 20% of the world’s cheetah population the largest concentration in the world, and Okonjima is the base for the AfriCat Foundation, which is devoted to saving the country’s big cats – cheetah, leopard, lion and even caracal.

Okonjima Bush Camp [Full Board + activities]
Enjoy your morning activity and brunch before departing for the eastern side of the Etosha National Park. Onguma Tree Top Camp is a unique and beautiful camp, situated on the Onguma Game Reserve, adjacent to the Eastern side of Etosha National Park. It is a small and intimate camp, especially designed for those travellers who would like to truly experience the bush in all its raw splendour. This is where guests are able to come and relax for a few days in the midst of their busy travelling schedule, and just breathe in the aromas of the bush and take in all the wildness that this place has to offer.
Tree Top Camp is built on wooden stilts amongst the tree tops with full views over one of the most beautiful watering holes on the Reserve. The Camp consists of 4 thatched wooden rooms, and a main complex.
The main complex is where we would like our guests to feel this is their home away from home. It is completely open towards the front where the waterhole is situated, but also has the option of letting down canvas sides should the weather not permit. Simply relax in the comfortable lounge reading a good book or in front of the fire place enjoying your favourite beer or glass of red wine, and then of course the dining area. The kitchen is open plan and Taurei your chef will be spoiling you with wonderful dishes cooked on an open fire. The Boma area steps off of the lounge deck, where our guests may sit for hours watching the animals and birds that frequent the hole throughout the day, or eat, or drink, or sleep, or laugh, or talk.
Crisp linen, down duvets, cosy throws to keep you warm at night, your own private toilet and wash up area, as well as a wonderful outside shower (private of course). And should you need some quiet time, you have your own private deck on which you can relax and enjoy exactly the same views as from the main areas deck.

The Etendeka Tourist Concession comprises an area of 50 000 ha in the foothills of the Grootberg on the edge of the rocky Namib Desert. The concession is part of the old Damaraland where the wildlife, living alongside nomadic pastoralists, is truly wild and free to roam uninhibited. The sighting of Hartmann’s mountain zebra, oryx, springbok, giraffe or perhaps even the desert adapted elephant or black rhino may add an exciting bonus to your stay.
Etendeka Mountain Camp offers a unique, pristine wilderness experience which will appeal to photographer, naturalist, astronomer and geologist alike, as well as lovers of peace, quiet and open space.
At Etendeka they strive to be at one with our environment, bringing you as close to nature as possible without compromising on safety or comfort. Solar heating and electricity do not disturb the silence. All plants and animals found around the camp are indigenous to the area.
Each of the ten walk-in, shaded tents is provided with two beds, linen, towels wash basin, a bush shower with hot and cold water, a flush toilet and electric light. Guests are met at the transfer point. The transfer, which takes one and a half hours, gives guests a good introduction to the area – so have camera and binoculars ready!
